I'm trying to burn some cds and gnomebaker is more often than not segfaulting out, even after removal and reinstallation. Brasero and K3b seem to want to bring on board all sorts of dependencies which I don't want.

Many years ago I used to use xcdroast but am having a bit of trouble with it. It has to be setup as root before a user can run it but when running as root I get this message:
** (xcdroast:5891): WARNING **: Failed to access cdrecord. Please check the permissions and ownership of /usr/bin/cdrecord
Any ideas how to get past this.

Alternatively any hand-holding on using a command line burner like mp3roast, especially looking at disk space would be welcome!

A long time ago I tried using xcdroast in another distro and had the same problem. I did some google searching and found a well written how-to. Unfortunately, I don't still have the link.
