Hello:
The title of the post is somewhat misleading, since I did a whole bunch of crazy things, including a sid conversion (from stable), a dist-upgrade and a sidux kernel installation (which doesn't play well in my box so I'm back to MEPIS). At any rate, after all that, I noticed that xfmedia player is not working. It comes up but it doesn't play. This is unfortunate because I really liked this player. Mplayer is still working.

Any suggestions on how to fix xfmedia? Maybe it's no longer supported?

thanks.

I have version 0.9.2-6 and it seems to be working fine. I wonder it some supporting app was removed during an update/upgrade. Xfmedia is the default xfce media app should remain in development for some time.

I tried reinstalling from Synaptic. That did not work. Then did apt-get purge and apt-get install and still xfmedia does not work. I have no clue what got messed up but no ther dependencies showed up in any of the reinstalls.

thanks.
