prevent from having to start a new forum from scratch
better than nothing, but awkward ~~ current users would need to re-register and...
suppose you attempt to register and are met with username"
========= SCRAPER REMOVED AN EMBEDDED LINK HERE ===========
url was:"#"
linktext was:"wavrydr"

" already exists
(cuz I rushed over and squatted an account using your name), what then?

Because tapatalk is using a CloudFlare gateway, nowadays I expect it would IP-ban a detected crawler. Maybe sneak under their radar by running multiple crawler instances, at a slow rate, each routed via a remote proxy. Instance 1 would only grab topicid url's ending in 1, another instance would grab 2's...

I know this will be controversial, and sorry if it upsets you anti, but there is already a section of the MX forum specifically for antiX. Could that not be used exclusively, and abandon this crap that I still can't find my way around?

It would also reduce duplication, and prevent numbskulls like me from having to try to remember which forum holds a particular piece of information.

harrumph to change. chorus. it will be okay; No.  change the change.  No problem for a group of ace programmers, like you guys and galpersons. keeping faith it can improve a bit. but this is it.  antix forum was not the first to the changing room.  Thank goodness we were not the first, Because so many were earlier forced to where we are now, much earlier than we, the groups/tapatalksupport forum has embraced many inquiries of the nature antix poses now.  there is a resource of answers about"what can be changed, optioned, altered" kind of answers piling up in the general forum at tapatalk.  given time this could probably be the best looking of all tapatalk forums.  I had no way of knowing this was not administrated's custom look/ work from the first we saw of it.  how do we know if anti picked the blue?  [rokytnji was on vacation.  good alibi rok.]  but forward from here can be beautiful (though spacious) if we give the team enough time to adapt it. room for improvement is a good position. ?  tapatalk hopes we will like it"gradually."  i gotta quit typing... laughing too hard.

tapatalk has been known since

to pass on the data of forum users.
They use a plugin which excludes the data. Specifically:
-Name
-email address

The perverse, it also reads the data of uninvolved users who do not use tapatalk.
The data will be sold, see

youre beautiful, dave. thank you. i hope we can (agree to) do that very soon.

you too, skidoo. personally i figure any css that the forum regulars are happy with has to be better than this one.

male: my concerns echo yours and while id love a quick fix to this forum business, my feeling is that migration is the best long-term option. im still in favour of anything we can do to make this place less terribly ugly and less useless since the (frankly) sabotage of the forum design. ive been offered an option to restore my old forum, but as long as its with these t-t guys i have absolutely no interest in helping them out.

Certainly this does not appear as a change for the better. A full learning curve awaits many users I'm sure. The other one was plain but worked well enough. I'll reserve judgement on the new until a few weeks has passed. My main question is WHY ?

You need to ask freeforums that WHY question.

the Fiat Forum uses Freeforums, take a look, it shows what can be done by an administrator with time to spend on facilities and appearances. Sadly their Forum works much better than do the cars. I am finding myself back to square one with Tapatalk. In Spanish Tapatalk would translate as inconsequential rubbish spoken over drinks and bites to eat, I'm sure all you USA members knew that. Tapatalk has bugs it would seem. I am now looking at spelling typos underlined, with the underlining spanning two words with spaces, and is meaningless, nor are there typos. The Forum is an integral part of antiX, and needs to be accessible and simple to use, Tapatalk has a long row to hoe before it reaches that point.

hello SamK
Not having understanding of the chosen representative image of tptalk groups by tptalk
that loosely retro represents antique obsolete manual photographic equipment in the hands of failed nail polish for creative purposes, excuse the hand model,
does not provoke confidence at first impression nor instilled upon later inspection of the company directing modernization to community building pioneering [pirateering] of their forum charges [us] based on telephone and network system access of the latest design.  Maybe it is directed at administrators doing activities besides moderating  and maintaing forums.  ?  yo Rademes. one of their pictures is as your bicyclist avatar.  do they have great taste or what?
Visitors to antix forum do not encounter it, well except by invitation of no fewer than seven links to tptalk per page. a browse groups might be thoughtful in their claim to help promote groups; though we cannot remember that at the estranged, previous templaters either.
the image on antix forums fits well. sorry that anticapitalista felt to alter avatar.  What will it do for new sign-ups? lack of data just now. ?  ha, take a lesson from tapatalk and do not put up the image of a telephone.  or a tablet.
Really miss that explosive welcome text with invitation and reasons to please join antix forum. it is a good one.  miss that.  Is there room and method to add that type of thing?  or avoid provoke increased scrolling? a foldable welcome box? template is for the best reasons, results, somewhere, so don't mess with it?
Plus , maybe it just made us more accepting of upcoming changes?
Plus , is it beneficial to ad revenue?
Secure log-in?
Does it"cover all the bases" that antix needs covered?  to get support from tptalk?  Modifications to their support model efficient?  Is the alternative for antix to publish/ furnish sufficiently such lawful linguistic contracting terms stuff  ?
I will just use it however it comes.  It does make a visual memory topic searching, like i saw it before and it looked like... , person like myself need familiarization with content read but unrecognized situationally when searching.  good the property content is all there right?
on the forum category news-f23 page a message indicates"You do not have the required permissions to read topics within this forum." when the three choices above it can be read.

Added logo to forum main page for both phone and computer displays. Not a lot of choice options on changing forum layout that I can see.
