I installed the 1Gb stick in the second slot (3Gb total) but I get a black screen. After some reboots I the system booted and showed only 2Gb. I think the limit is 2Gb...
- I'm surprised, why before the laptop showed 1Gb RAM? it was 1.5 Gb factory installed ...? __{{emoticon}}__
I need new glasses.
I was confuse thinking in only one slot and the system showing 1 Gb. Really the machine had two 512 Mb ram sticks... __{{emoticon}}__

Not close enough match in manufacturers specs.
If the specs are not close enough and we try them.

1. Will not boot.
2. boots but has all kinds of weird errors
3. Run like we want it to.

Why I just buy matched pairs.

Well, what a pitty. Anyway now I have double ram memory (2Gb) and the system is running better, and furthermore and I am learning how to upgrade hardware.

Thanks!

You are Welcome. I apologize for my earlier error.
