Since reports seem to be going in this thread, here are bugs/issues from the latest beta3. Note, most are minor now, I haven't had the"disappearing" window decoration issue and no major hiccups.
antix 15 beta 3"bugs"
1. menu manager disappears from the personal menu once used. ***ok, still available in control center and preferences***
2. no synaptic launcher in menu
3. like the new default wallpaper and lighter theme. and the icon set.
4. there have been reports of an ext4 filesystem corruption problem in the 4.0.0 kernel series. looks like mostly effects raid/ext4 setups. Don't know if that affects antix or not.
5. not sure about some of the apps being launched from the tools and cli area in control center. not really the point of a"control center", but it does highlight the apps existence.
6. firefox in meta-package installer pulls from mepiscr testrepo but that repo is no longer defined in mepis.list (there is no mepis.list). bm file needs redone once new repos are set.
7. thunderbird (same as 6. firefox)
8. libdvdcss2 and w32codecs installation fails from the metapackage installer. might be an authentication problem with pgp keys for deb-multimedia. btw, libdvdcss2 is now available in the default debian repos. (adobe reader has same problem.) **this can be fixed by installing deb-multimedia-keyring by default.**
9. ***nevermind, answered my own question***
10. wingrid keys defined in the window manager key files, but wingrid itself is not installed.
11. there is an equalizer in the control center, but it doesn't seem to actually modify the sound output. there is likely a asound.conf file missing from /etc to link the equalizer to hardware.
so far no big show stoppers. I've got a live usb w/persistence running that I haven't played with much yet and a virtualbox install.

Unsure whether the following is a bug, or is a necessity:
When scrolling the list of items available for adding to personal (or applications) menu, many of the items (.desktop files present in usr/shar/applications ?) are described as"Malformed".

Finding"ted" featured there was a headscratcher for me, but indeed I'm happy to see exposure given to additional preinstalled programs a user might not find otherwise.not sure about some of the apps being launched from the tools and cli area in control center. not really the point of a"control center", but it does highlight the apps existence.

I believe its meant to be informational. At least in some cases the show/hide functionality still works for those listed at malformed. I tested with Libreoffice.desktop and it seems to work fine.Unsure whether the following is a bug, or is a necessity:

not a bug, but a usability (point of confusion) issue:
The category/ies declared in each .desktopfile are not exposed in menu manager.
After adding (for sake of testing)"pc information" to the applications menu, I was hard pressed to find it (tucked away in whatever submenu) in order to verify that it had, in fact, been added.

Same as reported against earlier build, the default gtk theme is not displaying borders for tickbox inputs.
I tested using 2 different PCs (diff monitors, diff graphics cards) and see GRAY-ON-GRAY.
Here's an example of why i harp on the seriousness of this as a"usability issue":
Launch synaptic. First run, a dialog asks"show this each time". User MIGHT figure out the checkbox exists...
...but (for instance) in synaptic preferences dialog, fonts-n-colors tab
user wonders"WTF? the Use Custom Application Font button is grayed out, disabled?"
(Yeah, disabled until/unless you tick the unlabeled-and-rendered-as-gray-on-gray-invisible box to enable it)

I cannot figure out how to shutdown cleanly.
"persist-autosave" winds up being invoked during shutdown, throws an error"can only be used in a function"
and the system never proceeds to powerdown. It just acts hung.

I am pretty sure there are multiple ways to try and shutdown. As such what is the way that you are trying?
I have built the new exit dialog to have a gui and to be able to invoke from the command line.
For example you now could run
desktop-session-exit -s
to shutdown
desktop-session-exit -r
to reboot, etc...
I noticed that I nuked the -h option for help and made it hibernate so for newer version I will make hibernate -H and help -h.
However here is the code block that was supposed to display help, so you know the options.

echo"-L | --lock Lock the current session";
echo"-h | --hibernate Set the machine into hibernate";
echo"-s | --shutdown Shutdown your machine";

These come with udev and init-system-helpers (cron). Until we can get eudev working (it doesn't at the moment) then we are stuck with those files.
