Took a quick look at it in VirtualBox--it looks terrific! I love the simplified menu structure, that always drove me crazy. Will install and test tonight.

Congrats on this beta and all the work behind it!

Great! I am looking forward to giving this a good look!

(As a side BTW): what's the latest version to build a new instance of antiX Core? I got at least five, almost six years out of one of my old instances of antiX Core and loved it, but it has some pretty old stuff, such as an old ext3 file system and a few other old relics that I'd like to replace. What's the next best version of antiX Core to start over with?

OK, I couldn't wait. It installed without problem, wireless picked up, all seems good in 10 mins of looking.

Done! antiX-15-core also available. This is sysvinit and has been set up to block systemd.
There will no doubt be some rough edges.

re antiX-core.

I installed it (in VB) and then did

apt-get install xorg xfce4 lightdm policykit-1 leafpad quipzilla udevil faenza-cupertino-mini-icons

and on next reboot got a very basic xfce desktop using only 58MB RAM!

Distrowatch was on the ball.

Seems pretty solid so far.I like the simpler menus with some apps moved to the Control Center.

I was able to download and install the Core version of b3-V and it works well, so I have now replaced my original version of antix Core.

While I am not positive that the one I replaced was my very first Core installation - my first one even preceded the official Core release, I am sure that I replaced a version that was more than five years old because it was still using the old ext3 filesystem.

All is well. Hoping to also check out the full version; download is complete.
